Japanese Flower Arranging
10:00 to 12:00 - March 7, 2020
Suiei Sensei (https://www.facebook.com/Ikebana-Now-710224482322209/) will give a brief history of ikebana and the various forms of ikebana. She will then demonstrate some basic ikebana lessons with branches and flowers, then move onto using materials that you can find in the Ruth Bancroft Garden. The class will then have time to work on their own arrangements with the assistance of Suiei Sensei. The class fee includes a ceramic container, pin frog and plant materials. You will be asked to bring your garden clippers. Actual arrangements may vary depending on what is available at the time of the class. Registration will be closed on 4 March 2020 for this workshop. March 7 - 10:00am-12:00pm - $70-$75
